Find Nearst LocationOverview
When a provider suspects a bacterial or viral infection and needs blood work to confirm severity or cause, a blood draw is ordered at Reddy Urgent Care. A full blood count (FBC) and white blood cell (WBC) count helps determine whether an infection is present and how the body is responding.
Symptoms We Treat
- High fever without an obvious cause
- Signs of significant infection (severe fatigue, chills, body aches)
- Suspected bacterial infection not responding to treatment
- Recurrent or persistent infection symptoms
- Assessment of infection severity

Same-Day Care
We evaluate, diagnose, and treat most conditions the same day you visit so you can get back to feeling your best as quickly as possible.
Care for All Ages

Most Insurance Accepted
We accept most major insurance plans, Medi-Cal, and Medicare. We verify your benefits before treatment and inform you of any costs upfront.
Types Of Infection Assessment We Treat
- Full blood count (FBC)
Measures red and white blood cells and platelets. White blood cell elevation suggests infection.
- White blood cell differential
Identifies the type of white blood cells elevated — helps distinguish bacterial from viral infection.
- CRP (C-reactive protein)
Inflammation marker — elevated in significant bacterial infections.
- Blood cultures (external lab)
Identifies specific bacteria in the bloodstream if sepsis is suspected.
When to Go to the Emergency Room Instead
Go to the nearest emergency room or call 911 if you or someone with you has:
- Signs of sepsis: high fever, rapid heartbeat, confusion, very low blood pressure (call 911)
- Severe infection with altered consciousness
- Suspected meningitis: fever with stiff neck and light sensitivity (go to ER)
If you are unsure, go to the ER. It is always better to be safe.
