Types Of Urinalysis We Treat
- Urinary tract infection (UTI)
Bacteria detected in urine. Antibiotic treatment prescribed.
- Blood in urine (haematuria)
Red blood cells in urine — can indicate UTI, kidney stones, or other causes.
- Protein in urine (proteinuria)
Protein detected may indicate kidney stress or disease.
- Glucose in urine (glycosuria)
Glucose in urine can indicate uncontrolled diabetes.
When to Go to the Emergency Room Instead
Go to the nearest emergency room or call 911 if you or someone with you has:
- High fever with severe back or flank pain (possible kidney infection — seek prompt care)
- Inability to urinate with severe abdominal pain (go to ER)
