Overview

Suspected fractures require X-ray confirmation to determine whether a bone is broken and whether it is displaced. At Reddy Urgent Care, our on-site digital X-ray gives our providers the information needed to confirm fractures and begin appropriate treatment the same day.

Symptoms We Treat

  • Pain and tenderness directly over the bone
  • Swelling and bruising at the injury site
  • Difficulty using the affected area
  • Mild deformity or abnormal bone angle
  • Pain that worsens with movement or pressure

How We Treat It At Reddy Urgent Care

Our providers treat patients of all ages — from infants and children to adults and seniors — under one roof.

Most Insurance Accepted

We accept most major insurance plans, Medi-Cal, and Medicare. We verify your benefits before treatment and inform you of any costs upfront.

Types Of Suspected Fractures & Broken Bones We Treat

  • Non-displaced fracture

Bone is broken but remains aligned. Often manageable at urgent care with splinting.

  • Stress fracture

Tiny crack from repetitive stress or overuse. Common in athletes.

  • Wrist fracture (Colles’)

Common from falling on an outstretched hand.

  • Finger or toe fracture

Small bone fractures — usually managed with buddy taping or splint.

  • Rib fracture (minor)

Painful but often managed with rest and pain relief.

When to Go to the Emergency Room Instead

Go to the nearest emergency room or call 911 if you or someone with you has:

  • Open fracture (bone through skin)
  • Significant deformity or bone displacement
  • Loss of sensation or circulation below the fracture
  • Suspected spine, hip, or pelvic fracture

If you are unsure, go to the ER. It is always better to be safe.
